Dave set up AdventureMakers 18 years ago, drawing on a background in teaching, leading scout expeditions, working for a national outdoor centre, and a passion for sharing his love of adventure. From the beginning, the aim has been to introduce people to the outdoors in a way that suits their confidence, ability, and personal goals. That vision still remains at the heart of the business today. Now that Dave’s own family has grown up, he has gone into partnership with Mark, who has a young family of his own and began as one of Dave’s most successful trainees. More importantly, Mark shares the same passion for outdoor adventure and helping others experience the wonder, beauty, and confidence that come from spending time outdoors. Together, they continue this journey by helping a new generation enjoy meaningful outdoor experiences and grow into confident adventurers in their own right.
